Bodoland Territorial Council Mother & Child Health Mission
Comprehensive maternal and child health programme including ANC/PNC services, institutional delivery support, immunisation strengthening and nutrition counselling.
Why This Project?
The Need
Bodoland Territorial Council districts report maternal mortality and infant mortality rates above the state average. Institutional delivery rates are low in remote areas, ANC coverage is incomplete, and child malnutrition indicators (stunting, wasting, underweight) remain concerning.
The Intervention
The Bodoland Territorial Council Mother & Child Health Mission addresses critical gaps in maternal and child healthcare through strengthened ANC/PNC services, facility-based delivery promotion, immunisation coverage expansion and integrated child nutrition interventions across all Bodoland Territorial Council districts.
The Impact
Pre-post study design with control areas. HMIS data analysis. Beneficiary satisfaction surveys.
Key Objectives
- Increase institutional delivery rates by 25% in target areas
- Achieve 90%+ ANC registration in first trimester
- Strengthen immunisation coverage to 95%+ in all target blocks
- Reduce severe acute malnutrition cases by 30%
- Train 500+ ASHA workers in maternal and child health
