Bodoland TB, Malaria & NCD Free Communities
Targeted disease elimination programme for TB, malaria and NCDs through community screening, treatment support, ASHA worker training and awareness campaigns.
Why This Project?
The Need
Bodoland Territorial Council has higher TB incidence than the national average, endemic malaria in forested areas, and rising NCD burden (diabetes, hypertension) with limited screening infrastructure. Many cases go undetected due to poor access to diagnostic services.
The Intervention
This programme targets the triple burden of TB, malaria and NCDs in Bodoland Territorial Council through active case finding, treatment adherence support, ASHA worker training and community awareness. It aligns with national elimination targets while addressing local disease patterns.
The Impact
Epidemiological data analysis. Pre-post disease burden comparison. Community health surveys.
Key Objectives
- Achieve 90% TB case detection rate in target areas
- Reduce malaria incidence by 40% through active surveillance
- Screen 60,000+ individuals for NCDs
- Train 400+ ASHA workers in disease surveillance
- Establish community-level NCD screening points
